We have over 4,500 private customers with accounts, ranging from single cases
to several hundred cases. Any individual can open an account with us to hold
their wine either duty paid or under bond or a mixture of both. London City Bond acquired the business of Vinothèque specifically with a view to operating a substantial "out of town" warehouse with perfect conditions for cellaring fine wines. All wine entrusted to Vinotheque is automatically insured "All risks" to full replacement cost. The cost of the premium is included within the storage charge. Because of our excellent claims record normally uninsurable risks such as unexplained loss are also covered. Cover also extends to delivery in our, or our subcontractor's, vehicles. On receipt of wine you will be invoiced for the portion of the year remaining and on the next 1st January be invoiced for the full coming year. No refunds will be given for stock withdrawn during the year. Payments can be made by Sterling cheque or by Direct Debit. Please note that we make the single charge shown to cover ALL warehousing costs. Unlike others there are no additional charges for things such as orders, or clearance, administration. You can access information on your stock online through our live web site. This also allows you to place orders for delivery or collection of your wine online. Electronic condition reporting is also available through our web site. In addition to an image of the bottle/s and packaging we supply written details of outer packaging, capsules, labels and ullages. This is charged at £5.00 + VAT per case. We regret that we cannot automate your account application, as we need a signed copy of your application form in order that we can exempt you from the H.M. Customs & Excise requirements for registration. |

Once you have faxed your account application and received confirmation that the
account has been opened you can register online for access to the Online
Customer Information Service. This gives a comprehensive range of data about
wines held and any movements of wine in your account. There is no charge for
this service. This system is driven entirely by suggestions from our customers.
